😎🐫🎤 Christ’s peace be with you. What will it cost you to spend time with Christ?
Luke 9:57-62 tells us:
As they were walking along the road, a man said to Him, “I will follow You wherever You go.” Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.” He said to another man, “Follow Me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” Still another said, “I will follow You, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.” Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

This week I’ve been faced with a situation that took me out of my normal routine and placed me in unfamiliar and uncomfortable territory. When faced with situations like this, it’s so easy to want to run to the familiar and comfortable. The three men that Luke mentioned were faced with similar situations. Keep with what you know or embrace the unfamiliar and leave what you know and love behind. What’s behind door number 1? Oh if we would only be willing to open that door and step through. Think about the incredible gifts and experiences of walking with Jesus that those men denied themselves, because they were maybe afraid of the unknown and wanted to keep with familiar and comfortable. I’m very thankful that the Lord “nudges” me when I’m frozen with fear and unwilling to move on my own. We only have so much time to choose to join and experience a real relationship with our Lord and we should not let anything stand in the way. Don’t put off unto tomorrow what should be shared and said today. Bless others and be blessed.
