ππ«π€ I read this prayer a few days ago and thought I would share it with you.
βThank You Lord, that when I look into Your Word I find You. Help me to know You better through it. Give me ears to recognize Your voice speaking to me every time I read it. I don’t ever want to miss the way you are leading me.β
How is the Lord trying to talk with you? What is He speaking into your life? How will you grow today because of His words?
ππ«π€ In the Catholic faith we celebrate Easter for 50 days (8 Sundays), from Easter Day to Pentecost Sunday. Last Sunday, which was the third Sunday of Easter, the Gospel reading was Luke 24:13-35. It was about the seven-mile journey two disciples took from Jerusalem to Emmaus. The disciples encounter a stranger on the way, who unbeknownst to them was the risen Lord. It was nearly evening when the approached Emmaus so they invited this stranger to share a meal and stay with them. It was in the blessing and breaking of the bread that their eyes were opened and they recognized Him. Oh, how blind we can be to God’s presence in our lives, but hereβs what really struck me in hearing the Gospel on Sunday. It was evening, they hadn’t even eaten their meal yet and they were seven miles away from Jerusalem. But they couldn’t contain their joy. They left at once. Not after they finished eating. Not after a good nightβs rest. No, they left at once to share the joyous news that Christ lives. Can you get excited about that? Will you skip a meal and take a seven-mile walk (I think they probably ran) to share that Christ is alive and with us? Or will you finish your meal, go to bed and maybe consider making the journey to share the Good News after you’ve had your morning java. I know what I have been doing and I know where/what the Holy Spirit is calling me to do. Do you hear Him calling you too? Bless others and be blessed.
ππ«π€ Have you ever come to the realization that God has a specific task for you to accomplish?Β I’ve noticed that He tends not to give me all the detail, but a general idea and I really don’t know what direction I need to be going in.Β That’s when I start trying to figure things out on my own…Wrong answer!Β I heard a very simple reminder from Louie Giglio yesterday on Air1.Β If you want a new job, don’t look for a job. Seek God. If you want to move, don’t look for a new place. Seek God.Β Matt 6:33-34 encourages us “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Now apply this to the task our Lord has chosen for you. You are the only one He chose for that task. If that doesn’t make you feel special and loved, I don’t know what will. Bless others and be blessed.
ππ«π€ Easter…That’s was like three weeks ago, right? Try three days. The hype is over, but how is your Easter joy? Did it leave that quickly? Let the Light shine through. Show the world that YOU ARE LOVED and they are too. Make your action be the volume that drowns out your words. Bless others and be blessed.
ππ«π€ Christ’s death and resurrection gives us the power and authority to say goodbye to Satan and all his lies.Β Don’t allow your mind and will to be tricked and beaten into submission by all the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Holy Week is upon us and even if you haven’t really focused on Christ this Lent, it’s not too late. Prepare yourself and celebrate Christ’s death. Yes, His death for our sins, not His. He had and chose to die so that we ALL, every single person could have the choice to accept His grace and live in the joyous resurrection of our Lord. Will you choose Him in the hard times?Β When life is great?Β What about when life is just drifting along and you feel as if you’re going nowhere?Β You don’t even have to make the first move. He already chose you by name when He was on the cross. All you have to do is come back to Him. Say goodbye to the past. His arms are stretched wide just waiting to wrap you in the most incredible, loving hug. I pray you all make it to an Easter service this weekend and invite someone to join you. Bless others and be bless.
ππ«π€ I would like a little help from you. My oldest daughter Crystal, her husband John and 15 month old son Caylex, who live in NC, are about to welcome their daughter/sister, Chessa into this world. Crystal is due anytime now and I would greatly appreciate your prayers for a smooth and healthy delivery, a smooth transition to a larger family and the challenges (financial and physical) that come with that and any other prayer you would like to offer them. Thank you so much. Bless others and be blessed.
