😎🐫🎀 We recently had a supervisor change at work, which means I was moved to a new team and new desk location. We sit in cubical clusters of 6 desks. I arrived early at my new desk Friday and as everyone came in, I greeted them with a smile and “Good morning”. I soon realized that this is not a morning group when I was greeted by grunts in return. On Monday I was working on the Emmaus schedule and it says “Arise with joy!!” Yesterday I mentioned the difference in seating locations to my supervisor and manager. My supervisor said none of her team are morning people. “But maybe you’re the person to change that.”  We can change attitudes, days, lives with the smallest acts of joy. I know I don’t normally wake up and ask “How can I change a life today?”  That seems like too daunting a task, but it’s really not. I’m continuing to greet my coworker with a smile and a joyful “Good morning’.  So, how will you change a life today?

Sorry I missed the 😎🐫🎀 yesterday, but I did want to share today’s quote with you.

He is dying to have a relationship with you. Seriously, He literally died for your sins.Β  He puts Himself in your life time after time just hoping you will call out to Him and draw closer to Him in your good times and challenging moments. He began the relationship…will you accept it?Β  A gift isn’t fully given, until it’s fully received. Will you not only receive your relationship with God, but FULLY embrace it?Β  There is no greater gift. Bless others and be blessed.

How often do you find yourself saying “I want…”?  But, does that line of thought and action start with a conversation with God.  Or do you first try to do it on your own and then maybe, eventually get around to talking with Him when you realize you can’t make it happen on your own?  Purposefully make God first in your life.

😎🐫🎀John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

We are created in the image of God, the Word. The light of all mankind. Through free will, God allows us to choose our words. Will they be for light or darkness?

😎🐫🎀 We celebrate Christmas this weekend, which means gatherings with family, friends, coworkers and some folks you may not have even met yet.  These can be very joyous gatherings, but then again there can be anticipation, tension and feuding with those you are “forced” to be around. In these situations, it’s very easy to make fun of and put others down to make ourselves feel better. So what kind of attitude will you have?  You can choose to be a reflection of The Son or the darkness of Satan.  Christ came to show us how to live in communion with Him, to die for our sins on the cross, and to rise from the dead so that we can have an eternal salvation with Him.  Think about that as you share time with others this Christmas.

😎🐫🎀 I really enjoy the Christmas season, but about seven years ago I got fed up with how commercialize Christmas had become and I decided to quite decorating the house so I could focus more on what CHRISTmas is really about. I have one decoration that I leave out year-round to remind me to celebrate our Lord’s birth and sacrifice EVERYDAY.  I heard this song yesterday for the first time. It made me grin from ear to ear and I knew I needed to share it with you. I pray that you can be solidly focused on Christ the rest of this Christmas season. Bless others and be blessed.

😎🐫🎀 It’s that time of year again…decoration, gift buying, family visits, too much eating. It can all be overwhelming and time consuming. So how are you going to squeeze in preparing your heart, during this season of Advent, for Christ’s birth?  Have a plan.  Work it. Be ready for Christ this CHRISTmas.

😎🐫🎀 Last night in our Financial Peace University class, I was reminded once again that God is the greatest giver of all. Seriously, He gave His only Son to die for our sins. He gave us a path to our salvation. So why does God ask us to give?  God made us in His image. He knit us in our mother’s womb. When we give, we are following in our Father’s footsteps and are becoming more Christlike. We can give to others in many ways, shapes and forms, but don’t forget to give thanks to those in your life and to the Father, Son and Spirit. When you give thanks, you are offering praise, honor and worship to our Lord. Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year. Tell me what you are truly thankful for.
