😎🐫🎤 Before I left work yesterday, I heard a song playing and asked a coworker if she was listening to Christian music. She quickly said yes. But then in an unsure, kind of meek voice she asked, “Is that okay?”  Of course, I said “Absolutely.”  But, the sound of her unsure, voice keeps playing back in my head. It convicts me in the fact that I heard myself in her voice.

As we begin the season of Lent today, ponder the humility, confidence, and boldness you express in your faith journey.  Are you humble?  Are you confident?  Are you acting with Christ’s love and speaking His Word boldly?  This is an area that I find myself cowering down. But why should I?  Lent is a great reminder that I have NOTHING to fear. Christ humbled Himself to serve us all. Christ was confident in knowing His Father’s will was best. Christ acted with all the compassionate love only our Lord could offer and He spoke boldly to all who would listen.  His willing acceptance of the cross for our salvation says it all. Now get out there and act like you’re loved by our Lord. Don’t cower down. Be humbly bold in your relationship and faith in our Lord.  You never know who may take notice of your actions and find the courage and strength to be humbly bold in their journey.  God works in wonderful and mysterious ways. Bless others and be blessed.

😎🐫🎤 All that fog Monday was crazy and cool at the same time. It reminded me of when I lived in England. But once I started driving to work and could only see two cars ahead of me, the journey became a little tense and longer than normal. I was relieved when I finally made it to work. Heading to work on Tuesday I was looking around thinking I didn’t see this and that yesterday and God said that’s okay. You’ve driven this road many times, you don’t always need to see. Let me be your guide. I’ll get you where I need you to be. I thought, how true is that and I don’t think He was just talking about driving to work. I admit, I like to be in control and see where I’m going and what’s next in my life, but God’s plans are better.  I need to let Him be in control. Bless others and be blessed.

😎🐫🎤 You’re weird!  How many times have those words been spoken about you?  It’s okay to be weird. Embrace your weird side. After all, God gave you those weird gifts and talents to honor and glorify Him by your words and deeds.

I heard today’s song for the first time, last Friday on my way to work. It was an instant hit with me not only because of the message, but it’s got a great beat. I know it’s early, so make sure you stand up and stretch a little before you start this song because you’re going to want to bust a move and I certainly wouldn’t want you to hurt your weird self. Bless others and be blessed.

😎🐫🎤 Last Thursday as I was driving to work it was very misty out and my windshield was covered with what seemed like hundreds of tiny, very distinctive drops of water blocking my view. Then all of the sudden the auto wipers came on and wiped away all the drops so I could see again. I said to myself “It’s been wiped clean.”  As I said that I heard these words on the radio “If you could count the times I’d say you are forgiven, it’s more than the drops in the ocean.”  I watched the windshield fill with drops and get wiped clean again and again, as I let the words to that song soak into my soul. I’m a visual learner, so it was a very real moment realizing that those droplets were my sin (pride, lies, gossip, disobedience…) and by God’s grace and Christ’s incredible sacrifice, those sins are so freely wiped clean. No longer to be dwelt upon. Completely gone.

😎🐫🎤 We recently had a supervisor change at work, which means I was moved to a new team and new desk location. We sit in cubical clusters of 6 desks. I arrived early at my new desk Friday and as everyone came in, I greeted them with a smile and “Good morning”. I soon realized that this is not a morning group when I was greeted by grunts in return. On Monday I was working on the Emmaus schedule and it says “Arise with joy!!” Yesterday I mentioned the difference in seating locations to my supervisor and manager. My supervisor said none of her team are morning people. “But maybe you’re the person to change that.”  We can change attitudes, days, lives with the smallest acts of joy. I know I don’t normally wake up and ask “How can I change a life today?”  That seems like too daunting a task, but it’s really not. I’m continuing to greet my coworker with a smile and a joyful “Good morning’.  So, how will you change a life today?

Sorry I missed the 😎🐫🎤 yesterday, but I did want to share today’s quote with you.

He is dying to have a relationship with you. Seriously, He literally died for your sins.  He puts Himself in your life time after time just hoping you will call out to Him and draw closer to Him in your good times and challenging moments. He began the relationship…will you accept it?  A gift isn’t fully given, until it’s fully received. Will you not only receive your relationship with God, but FULLY embrace it?  There is no greater gift. Bless others and be blessed.

How often do you find yourself saying “I want…”?  But, does that line of thought and action start with a conversation with God.  Or do you first try to do it on your own and then maybe, eventually get around to talking with Him when you realize you can’t make it happen on your own?  Purposefully make God first in your life.

😎🐫🎤John 1:1-5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

We are created in the image of God, the Word. The light of all mankind. Through free will, God allows us to choose our words. Will they be for light or darkness?
